2012 Events

Kick-off

We will receive this year’s BEST Robotics challenge soon at an event called “Kick-off”. Kick-off will take place September 1st of this year at Lone Star College Montgomery – building A. Kick-off is a very exciting event because we will all see the challenge course for the first time. Even better, there will be a physical course for us to examine up close. We will also receive the new rules of scoring as well as our box of materials. Mark your calendars and plan on attending the “Kick-off” event.

Demo Day

Demo day is a chance for us to tryout our robot on a full challenge course with three other robots. Demo day will take place at The Woodlands Mall this year on October 6th, 2012.

Game Days

These days are the actual competition days which will take place on Friday, Oct 12th and Saturday, Oct 13th at College Park High School in The Woodlands. The Presentation Team delivers  the team presentation to the judges and the Display Team sets up the team display on Friday, Oct 12th. The Robot Team pilots the team robot on Saturday, Oct. 13th. Afterwards, we enjoy a group dinner to celebrate another season of friendship, learning and teamwork.
